Depth and Dimension
The aim of this workshop is to look at many different ways of creating texture, depth and dimension on stitchable surfaces. We will study some of my favourite tricks and techniques which are designed to manipulate and distress fabrics, to create unusual surfaces. We will also play with materials other than the usual fabrics, and embellish these surfaces with objects, and layers of textural stitching. Then you can make your own samples, trying out whatever interests you. These samples may form the basis of a new piece of work, or they can be collated into a small concertina book for your future reference.
